PreviewChief publishes content about digital products and software, including reviews, comparisons, rankings and roundups, coupon and deal posts, how-to guides and tutorials, and general blog articles. We do not sell, host or supply the products we write about.

Collected automatically

Retargeting and Custom Audiences
We use retargeting, sometimes called remarketing, to show our own content and offers to people who have already visited the Website or subscribed to our emails.
This works in two ways:
- Cookie-based retargeting. Advertising platforms set a cookie or tracking pixel when you visit, which lets us show our ads to you later on other websites and platforms. We use the Meta Pixel, which records actions you take on the Website — such as which pages you view — and reports them to Meta. Meta holds that information under its own privacy policy.
- List-based custom audiences. Where you have given us your email address, we may provide a hashed, non-readable version of it to an advertising platform such as Meta so our ads reach you rather than an unrelated audience.
We use this only to promote our own content and offers. We do not provide your details to the vendors whose products we review, and we do not permit advertising platforms to use your information for their own purposes beyond matching our audience.
You can opt out at any time. Block or delete advertising cookies through your browser settings, unsubscribe from our emails, or email us at admin [a] previewchief.com to be excluded from our custom audiences. You can also manage ad personalisation in the advertising platform’s own ad preferences.
Do Not Track Signals

Who We Share Information With
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Website, and only to the extent they need it:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with the vendors whose products we review, and we do not provide your personal data to advertisers or marketing partners for their own purposes.
The only exception is the retargeting described above, where a hashed version of your email address may be matched by an advertising platform so we can reach you with our own content. Under California law this may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, and you can opt out at any time.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, where it is necessary to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Website, our readers or the public.
Business Transfer
If PreviewChief is sold, merged, or transfers substantially all of its assets, information held about you may transfer to the acquiring party, provided that party agrees to honour the terms of this Privacy Policy.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, and for as long as the law requires us to.
How long that is depends on the type of information and why we hold it:
- Contact messages are kept while your enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you get in touch again about the same matter
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain the minimum needed to honour your opt-out
- Analytics data is kept in line with the retention settings of our analytics provider
- Server logs are kept for the period needed to investigate security and performance issues
The same applies to anyone who processes information on our behalf. When we no longer need your information and there is no legal or regulatory reason to keep it, we delete it or anonymise it so you can no longer be identified.
International Transfers
The Website is operated from outside the European Economic Area, and our service providers may store or process data in a number of countries, including the United States and countries in the European Union.
Where personal data originating in the EU, EEA or UK is transferred outside those regions, we rely on the safeguards our providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or an applicable adequacy decision.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access.

We do carry out retargeting, as described above. If you are elsewhere
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent to its processing. We will honour these requests as far as applicable law allows.
How to exercise your rights

Please note that removing every trace of information is not always technically possible. Backups exist to protect against data loss, and a copy may persist in a non-erasable form for a limited period. We will update or delete data in our active systems as soon as is reasonably practicable.
Children’s Privacy
The Website is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, or under 16 where local law sets that threshold.

Links to Other Websites
The Website links to vendor websites, affiliate networks and third-party review platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to them.
When you follow a link away from the Website, the privacy policy of the site you arrive at governs your visit. Those sites may set their own cookies and collect their own information. We recommend reading their privacy policy before providing any information to them.
Changes to This Policy
